Most travel guides tell you how humans experience traveling with pets. They list logistical fees, pet-friendly policies, the nearest parks, etc. We wanted to do something different: try to understand the true comfort and friction of a physical environment through the eyes of the primary user. And in this case, that user happens to have four legs.
Our latest Substack piece flips the usual script. Written from the perspective of our team pup, Peligrosa, this guide breaks down what actually makes a hotel stay comfortable, stressful, or secure for an animal on a road trip. By imaging hospitality from dog’s eye view, we uncover the subtle environmental details—from floor textures to ambient noise—that traditional, human-centric design completely overlooks.
This exercise models our commitment to radical empathy as well as our approach to any research challenge: stripping away our own assumptions to uncover how a specific audience truly experiences the world around them.
